Artist’s Statement
“Some believe lineage goes farther back than our ancestors’ arrival at this very place in time. Whether by a ship liner coming from East to West, a biblical story or even by a billion year journey of stardust, the notion remains the same; we all have lineage.
“These collages are studies of my personal lineage. Within these works, I am taking samples of collected materials gathered by past generations and using them as objects of reflection to connect my past ancestry to the present, and the present to the future generations.”
